Formerly co-pays or payments for Quest Diagnostic services were accepted by credit card or check only, with no ability to pay by cash for services. This has limited the ability of Quest patients who do not have credit cards or bank accounts, resulting in thousands of dollars per year lost in revenues for Quest. Livewire’s kiosk will not only allow for cash payments, but presents the extra benefit of being a 24 hour payment system.
Equipped with a bill acceptor as well as bill change dispenser, the patient walks though the cash transaction process via instructional prompts and receives a receipt at the end of the transaction. The kiosk provides real-time reports to Quest Diagnostics on all cash transactions through the day.
